"In terms of what constitutes an infographic, however esoteric the data set is, it must tell a factual story rather than an ‘expressive tale or polemic message’ the book finds."

Tour poster and promo photos for Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness.

"At times I’ve performed simply as Andrew McMahon but mostly as Jack’s Mannequin and Something Corporate. As I embark on yet another musical adventure, I will be traveling with my band to many of those same stages, this time as "Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness". I suppose my wilderness is mostly an abstract one. Since putting Jack’s behind me, I forced myself into strange spaces seeking new stimulus. New lights on the path to the high of a finished song.”

Ganzfeld, installations by James Turrell.

"Ganzfeld": A German word to describe the phenomenon of the total loss of depth perception as in the experience of a white-out. Turrell artificially creates a similar experience through the controlled use of light, coved corners and an inclined floor.
