Wow. This is why Andrew McMahon is on my top 3.

He writes about the real side of things, not fictional stories, but real stories. He writes about the pain and the loss and the loneliness, the stuff we all feel but we’re too afraid to say. He writes the anguish, the excitement, and all those indescribable things in-between. And yeah, while he denies being a inspiration, he’s still my inspiration and an icon in my eyes. I’ve learned how to feel because of his words. Not just feel the good things and the feeling of being in love. I’m talking about the feeling of hopelessness, the feeling of solidarity, the feeling of overcoming those things, the feeling of surviving and feeling good about surviving when everything’s fallen apart.
